Cartel Speedster Scion FR-S Concept

RACE INSPIRED Design in Mind.  The stunning Cartel Speedster Scion FR-S Concept which will formally debut at the 2012 Toyota Long Beach Gran Prix. The Cartel Customs Team lead by Jeremy Lookofsky (Cartel King) styled this rear wheel drive sports roadster concept with an aggressive line defined by a Toyota racing brand heritage. Working close with designer Joe Iacono of Iacono Design, Jeremy and the Drag Cartel Team show a seamless perspective integrating race and sport fabrication.

Power comes from the Flat 2.0 Liter Boxer Engine ( 200hp @ 7,000 rpm) 6 speed transmission. The Cartel Speedster Scion FR-S concept package highlights the kickoff to the 2012 Indy race season. The Cartel Brand has been heavily involved with racing for the last 15 years

    331 Hemi Bulldog 1937 Coupe

I recently updated a project my father and I have been working on conceptually. Originally I had suggested that we do a nostalgia / rat rod kustom truck that had subtle influences of drag racing. Maybe a mid engine or rear engine concept and do the chassis similar to vintage dragsters?  That look is very cool considering he has a really nice 331 Hemi he started to build and wants to run fuel injection.

He recently started building on the chassis and looking to fit his 1937 truck cab body (original) on an old set of 1934 rails he built when he first moved to California.  We changed the game plan as he started collecting parts to start the project, and suggested we use Corvette c6 parts and a rear end trans axle like they use in old GT 40′s. Originally we had a short nose truck concept with tubular rear chassis clip and drag wing with a rear mounted motor.

All those ideas will stay the same, but when you add the C6 IFS, the stance changed the look of the front end.  I illustrated the nose back, chopped the roof and added a shorter truck grille… all be damned it looked just like a Bulldog.  Kinda funny that one of the first major jobs my dad had growing up was a diesel mechanic working at Mack Trucks in Tuscon Arizona.  More soon!
